Social media ideas:

1.   App where you can share ideas/links with each other of celebrity’s outfits which they’ve worn. This would be good particularly for teenage girls so they are inspired.
2.   App where you can watch live events/concerts eg. Wireless, Reading, Sundown etc. All ages would appreciate this as if it’s not affordable for them or are missing the event.

3.   An app where you can send and receive messages to and from your contacts anywhere at any time even without wifi or service. This would be good for all ages as you can message someone urgently or just casually and have no problem with it.

Pen portrait:

Title: The name of my app is VCT. This stands for Video, Call, and Text. I chose this name, as it can be an abbreviation. This means that it is easy to remember for the audience.

Purpose: My app is a social network. You can message and call your contacts on it for free. It is also a media-sharing app as you are able to post live photos and videos for the people how follow you to see.

Target Audience: The target audience is aimed for more the younger generation who enjoy interacting over social media. My age range is 14-21 years old as at this age they’re likely to have new phones out.

Format/Style/Content

The app will be an Iphone and Ipad app as the age range that I have chosen mostly uses these devices. Iphones and Ipads are easier to access so more people will be active on the app. The app will automatically include your contact list but you are able to add numbers from the app. With your contacts you can message, call or video chat them. You are able to update a status on your profile of your choice. You can change your icon photo and name. You are also able to follow your friends and celebrities where they can post live photos and videos which you can like and favourite.

Facebook is a quick and easy way to target a audience about products or service. You are able to like pages. After you have liked the page their posts will come up on you timeline so you are able to keep up with their new products and news.

Viral Marketing:
Dove  used an inspiring video to get close to half a million views, likes, comments and shares on Facebook. They're telling a story. Dove also encourages tagging by asking their fans to tell a story about someone who means something to them. Tagging other people is a good way to get the word out about on a timeline.

Product/Service Reviews:
People that use facebook are able to comment on the pages with how they feel about the product, service or place. Anyone can see the comment. They can reply to the comment of like them. This makes it a very easy way to communicate and spread the reviews.

Twitter
Advertising:
Twitter has a homepage which promotes ads to appear on the homepage. It is called a 'tweet'. They can be in the form of a picture, video or gif. The more retweets and likes it gets the more viral it goes. Normally to spread the word companies hashtag their tweet.

Viral Marketing:
PokemonGO has made it big through twitter recently with their hashtage #PokemonGO which was promoted over twitter, billboards and TV.

Reviews:
Twitter uses the hashtag where you can look at trending hashtags or write a 140 character tweet with a review. That way you can search for a particular product and find out other peoples opinions.

Instagram:
Advertising:
Instagram advertisement has become bigger with companies. Instagram like other social media sites. Companies pay Instagram to advertise their products. The ads can be promoted by users or can automatically be put on your timeline.

Viral Marketing:
Birchbox has become a really popular beauty brand on Instagram. The company pays Instagram 'Models' to promote their products and giveaways or just to model their latest trends. They team up with lifestyle blogger Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere to curate their May Box.

Reviews:

Users advertise when they have purchased something and use a hashtag so other users can find the product easily. Customers can get put off products or highly recommend if they would like to make that purchase.
